The Swedish producer has been working on his debut artist album for many years. Now with a Virgin Records deal, Prydz is set to release that album in late 2012. To keep fans satisfied with new music before the summer hits, he will be releasing a three disc compilation next week titled, Eric Prydz presents Pryda, which features one full-length disc of unreleased material.
Big mix this week for you guys. With EDC and other big festivals going on, I figured Id throw a mix of different genres that I would go see had I gone to these shows.
Back in September, INTO THE AM picked up on a four song EP, Blackhawk, from the then, unknown producer James Egbert. Unknown only because most of the dozens of hits he produced were for-client projects where he received little credit other than his name in tiny font on the back page. Although partially biased due to the fact that I’m a fellow “Chicagoan til Chicago ends,” I think Kanye West is definitely one of the best artists of our generation. Each year, Forbes releases a list of the world’s most powerful celebrities, based on pay, media presence, pull on social media, and press coverage. The most jaw-dropping information, typically, is the list-toppers’ astronomical salaries. But, when the 2012 list was published yesterday, something else caught my eye: Tiesto and Skrillex both landed in the top 100!
Swedish duo Dada Life just released their newest mix, revealing their love for the heavy-hitting realms of the electronic dance scene, which becomes apparent throughout this podcast. The set features all sorts of new tunes including their huge, sausage-fattened remix of Kaskade’s “LLove” first heard at Coachella Festival 2012. The mix definitely sets Dada Life apart from other artists as they take you on a hard-hitting electronic voyage…
Hunting the Sasquatch…? WTF! Next weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, is arguably one of the more monumental music festivals. **insert Coachella propaganda** and let me explain myself. Sasquatch Music Festival takes place in George Washington at one of the most scenic venues you can experience musical acts at.
