On today's episode of 'Trance Around The World', one that was filled with classics over the nine years that the weekly radio show has taken place, today it ended on a bittersweet note, literally, ended. The 449th episode left fans saddened as it came to a close. The final track, fittingly enough, "Breaking Ties" was played and Tony then came out and announced that the 450th show, to be held in India next week, will in fact be the absolute final episode of Above & Beyond's 'Trance Around The World'.
One can only speculate on to why Above & Beyond decided to end it now but why not? The radio show has been a huge success and 9 years is a pretty good run, if you ask me. Shortly after the announcement, they tweeted the image that is posted above, a possible album cover? Who knows but we do know that the trio is in fact working on a new album and have even mentioned that they'd be working with Justine Suissa - the singer/songwriter who is the other member of A&B's group project - Oceanlab. Fans have been longing for another Oceanlab album and maybe we'll get it, maybe we won't but I, for one, am excited to see what they have in store for us.
You can listen to the announcement on today's full episode below. Be sure to tune into Above & Beyond's final episode next weekend, November 10th, live from Bangalore, India.
