Last Fall, Armin Van Buuren and Markus Schulz took their respective thrones atop trance music and dance culture. Van Burren collected his fifth "World's Best DJ" title from DJ mag and Schulz was crowned "America's Best DJ" by DJ Times. The validity of both polls has been debated, but Van Burren and Schulz continue to prove their worth. After marathon sets and numerous B2B appearances (including a recent surprise at Exchange LA),  they decided to come together and produce the anthem for A State of Trance 600: "The Expedition."

Every anthem carries high expectations, but the kings of trance set a new standard with their effort, which debuted last Thursday night. The production styles of Van Buuren and Schulz intertine in a tense struggle for superiority, until an arena-filling, distorted lead bursts from the conflict and provides euphoric catharsis.

"The Expedition" will be available on Beatport January 28th.
