Mike Lisanti and Philip Scully make up the multi-genre production duo Charity Strike. Both California natives, Lisanti and Scully are currently on the rise to fame. The duo performed at Wintersalt Arts & Music Festival in San Francisco and they have also landed a spot at SWAT Events' Spring Break trip to Lake Havasu in March.
Big things are in Charity Strike's future, and their remix of Big Chocolate's “Blue Milk” is only the start. "We've always been inspired by Big Chocolate's flavor,” explained Lisanti. “We were pretty stoked to find out that Indaba had put out the stems for free download, so we could put a housey spin of our own on the tune.” That "housey spin" results in a complete flip of the original trap-rap smash into a big room banger that features hard-hitting bass drums, reverberating synths, and of course an insane drop filled with tons of punch.
"We just love to bring high-kinetic energy to our music,” added Scully and we can certainly feel it. If you can too, go to Indaba Music and cast your vote for Charity Stike's remix. If they win, Charity Strike will get to have their remix included on an official Big Chocolate release, along with other prizes. Voting ends February 14.
