Lightning in a Bottle 2013 | Tickets on Sale Now

It seems as though everytime you close your eyes, another music festival is popping up somewhere around the country. Festivals are quickly integrating themselves into America's music culture and, like many, I agree that the festival market is oversaturated and some of the magic has been lost. But there is still one festival that holds true to its roots: Lightning in a Bottle. Presented by The Do Lab, LIB is far from your typical summer gathering. Focusing not only on the music, but also on art, yoga, and sustainability, it's a diverse experience that comes highly recommended.

Some of LIB's past artists include: Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Glitch Mob, Shpongle, Beats Antique, Tipper, Claude Von Stroke, Justin Martin, Gramatik, Michal Menert, Bonobo, Opiuo, An-ten-nae, Russ Liquid, Daedelus, and tons of others. But when you aren't dancing the night away, there are still tons of other activities to take part in. From lectures on water conservation, sustainable gardening, and Green House effects to interactive activities like Ableton tutorials, How to Dance to Dubstep classes, and non-stop yoga. If you are someone looking to break away from the cookie-cutter festivals that are popping up everywhere, LIB is an experience that we here at ITAM can not recommend enough.

Hello, I'm Parker. Full of opinions and a bit of criticism, I'm always looking for the next big thing. A graduate from San Diego State, you might catch me at the beach or at a festival somewhere on the west coast. Keep up with me and all of the shenanigans I find myself a part of at @parkermaass on Twitter as well as at IntoTheAM.com and CollegeRoots.com.
