Tigran Mimosa’s previous release have been all of the map, from melodic dubstep to drum & bass and downtempo, but his “Future Trill” movement has been dominating his attention for months. Now, on the verge of releasing his seven studio album, he’s let loose a single that gives listeners their first taste of his vision for trap music.

“SWRV” draws on every element that has made club-oriented trap so appealing and adds only a small amount of signature style from Mimosa. The percussion is tinny, the bass is low, the synths are descending and the down-tuned rapper is providing simple, bounce-inducing lyrics. But the only thing that makes this track stand out from the trap pack is a bit of laser bass and a slightly psychedelic vibe.

Regardless of its originally, “SWRV” is sure to please any trap fan – especially since its available for free download - and so will Mimosa’s full album, “FUTURETRILL,” when it is released this November.
