Slap The Bag has become more than a drinking game with your favorite style of Franzia, it's also the production alias for Duke University student, Dylan Robbins. His recent remix EP is a free, big room collaboration with Mapp titled, "Take The Sky." Aided by an acoustic guitar and strong lyrics sang by Katie Pearlman, the track is a welcome change of pace from the usual big progressive house sound that is becoming increasingly homogenized.
The "Take The Sky EP" features two remixes: the first is from LA-based producers Matt Halper and Eli Sones, né The Two Friends, who use a driving bass line and building synths to push major energy of the track, using near-silence to their aid a couple times - noticably increasing the impact of the vocals and melody. The other remix comes from Into The AM contributor, Sweekuh. Unlike the other two versions of the track, Sweekuh's Remix features a dark, bass-heavy drop that is in stark contrast from the vocal portions of the song.
