Steve Aoki - It's The End Of The World As We Know It EP | Three New Tracks from Aoki

Between throwing cakes at his fans and spraying champagne everywhere, Steve Aoki has found time to get some original productions going. It was clear the Los Angeles DJ was cooking up some new stuff when he took to the decks of the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix last month. You can listen to that 2 hour mix, which has every bit of high energy music that you expect from Mr. Aoki including his collaboration with Knife Party, "Piledriver" around the 42 minute mark.

Come December 11th, Steve is letting loose three of his fresh tunes via the "It's the End of the World as We Know it EP" - just in time for his fans to enjoy them as the world ends.

The first single off the EP is titled "Singularity," featuring Dim Mak artist Angger Dimas, and it makes the perfect thunderous opening for the release as it draws on Aoki's proficiency with thumping basslines and big room electro along with great accompanying vocals from My Name is Kay. Next up is "Omega," which sees the return of one of Steve's favorite vocalist (and mine): Miss Palmer. "Omega" goes into a very typical electro style, but stands above the rest by perfectly matching production with impressive vocals. Finally, Aoki teamed up with European producer Rune RK for a big room anthem entitled "Transcend" that pushes the boundaries of the sound we have come to expect from the Dim Mak boss.

There is nothing better than when artists mix up their production and Aoki's change of pace makes for a solid three track offering. Put your apocalypse dancing shoes on because the "It's the End of the World as We Know it EP" hits digital shelfs next Monday!
