FRIDAY DECEMBER 21^ST

Hailing from Providence, Rhode Island, the half Dominican, half Guatemalan producer, Abraham Orellana, better known, as AraabMuzik will be schooling the Avalon crowd as he shows them how to seriously work a drum machine. After showcasing his skills by creating live beats and instrumentals on a MPC drum machine, he demonstrated his artistry of producing rapid, rhythmic drum patterns as well as sampling melodies with a variety of sounds. AraabMuzik proved he was a force to be reckoned with and that he was a creating something completely fresh and unique gaining steady popularity as his videos exploded virally, displaying his skills on the MPC drum machine as his main production tool. Using samples from a variety of genres including electro, dubstep, gabber, and trance, he is creating a complete experience for partygoers. Opening up for the MPC master is 23-year-old Brooklyn based producer Harry Rodrigues, aka Baauer. In a short amount of time he has sampled, remixed, and created some of the grimiest trap tracks that has received recognition from artists such as Diplo, A-Trak, Skrillex, and AraabMuzik. Remixing for the likes of No Doubt and Flosstradamus, and producing his own epic track of sonar synths and sonically bamboozling bass, “Harlem Shake,” displays his versatility as an artist, proving he can sample from any genre and make it his own. If we survive the Mayan prophecy go out and celebrate with Baauer and AraabMuzik at Avalon, they might make the world end with all the bass that will be in your face on Friday night!

Exchange LA is bringing partygoers another quality night of music when International figures in the underground dance music scene, Derrick Carter and Mark Farina rip the decks apart for their weekly event, Inception Saturdays. These wandering record minstrels have played to incredible crowds all over the globe. Consistently drawing new fans to their style of chunky-funky rhythms and deep underground house, playing upwards of 200 shows to over one million (1,000,000) club goers per year. Voted in the top 20 DJ's in the world by MUZIK and BPM Magazine, his taste making skills continue to turn the heads of seasoned veterans as well as youngsters just getting into the music. The duo is known for rocking parties by seamlessly mixing the likes of house, old-school disco, soul, and jazz. Prepare for an evening of chunky-funky rhythms and deep underground house at Inception!
