Hug Life, better known as DJ Slink has recently created an absolutely gorgeous remix of the song "Wicked Games." The track is originally by The Weeknd, or R&B singer and producer Abel Tesfaye, but was then covered by Coeur de Pirate, the stage name of Canadian singer Béatrice Martin. Using the vocals from her cover, Hug Life shows us that trap music has the ability to be soft and beautiful as well as hard hitting and heavy.

The beginning of the song features Martin’s vocals with a slightly modified beat, indicating early on the hip-hop turn the piece eventually makes. Hug Life adds a very trap-oriented drop in the middle, but when it is paired with the airy voice track and piano in the background, the song shows a perfect combination of hard and soft.
